Lifestyle supports at Castle are focused on helping NDIS participants develop daily living skills.

This is about building the skills, routines and confidence to manage daily life at home and in the community.

Whether you want to cook, establish routines that work for you, or build confidence in everyday life, we’re here to support you at your own pace every step of the way.

What lifestyle supports look like

CASTLE Fishing Group WEB

Support is practical, personalised and hands-on. You might work with our team to:

  • Prepare meals and cook independently
  • Establish a routine that works for you
  • Build capacity in your home tasks
  • Develop personal care skills
  • Get out into the community with confidence

Support can happen at home, in the community, or from one of our many service locations.

Build skills that improve everyday life

Our focus is on helping you build skills that you can use every day.

This includes:
-    Cooking and meal planning
-    Budgeting and shopping
-    Personal care and hygiene
-    Time management and routines
-    Confidence in daily tasks

We support you at your pace and in line with your goals.

Group-based lifestyle supports

We offer group supports that give you the opportunity to learn new skills in a shared environment. These are practical, social and focused on building confidence through group activities.

Here's a list of some of our most popular lifestyle groups.

Cooking Group

Learn to cook, build confidence and enjoy creating your own meals. In this group, participants choose recipes, shop for ingredients and cook together in our commercial kitchen at Delando Hub. Along the way, you'll build skills in cooking, baking, budgeting, planning and food safety, while connecting with others and growing your independence. And yes - the delicious smells tend to turn a few heads around the Hub!

Pamper Day

Relax, connect and build confidence through self-care. Pamper Day is for participants who enjoy social settings and want to spend time with others while exploring activities like manicures, make-up, facials and foot spas. Along the way, you’ll build confidence, social and communication skills, and develop independence in self-care, while expressing yourself and connecting with peers in a fun, supportive environment.

85 Men's Connect

Connect with others, get out in the community and build confidence. 85 Men’s Connect is for men in their 20s and 30s who want to socialise and take part in everyday activities with support. This can include pub, café or food court lunches, games and downtime at our Mayfield space, shopping trips and local outings. Along the way, you’ll build confidence accessing the community, develop everyday living skills and strengthen your connection to people and places around you.

Arts, Crafts and Gardening Group

Get creative, try new activities and build confidence. In this group, participants explore arts, crafts and gardening, from planning projects and shopping for materials to creating and growing together. Along the way, you’ll develop fine motor skills, express yourself and enjoy being part of a relaxed, supportive group.

85 Social Day

Enjoy a mix of centre-based and community activities while building confidence in everyday settings. This group includes themed days, BBQs, games, public transport trips and outings to local attractions like bowling or museums. You’ll build confidence accessing the community, develop everyday living skills and take part in activities at your own pace with the right support.

One-on-one support

If you prefer more personalised support, we also offer one-on-one supports tailored to your needs.

This is ideal if you want:

  • Support in your home
  • Support to learn new skills and reach your goals
  • A routine that works for you
  • More individualised support, – for example, for plan implementation
